September 8 2008, Elder Milner

Well, I have less than fifteen minutes left to write you all after I checked all the mail I got. I truly am so grateful for all the emails that were sent to me. It was great to hear from all of you, and see that you are all doing great. Even Super Kitty. Well, Another week gone by, where some days of it did feel like weeks, and some days felt like minutes. I truly have come to realize that you really undergo the entire range of emotions when you come on a Mission. This is the greatest work that the Lord has for us, and more blessings are promised for all involved than in any other work. It is the greatest work because it is the work of the salvation of souls. But Satan really knows this, so he fights with all his might to stop that work. It is comforting to know that the reason times are tough sometimes is that this work is so important. I am grateful for the prayers and faith that you all have for me, and I look forward to seeing you all in two years, but not a minute earlier. We had Elder Quentin L. Cook speak to us last Tuesday, and it was fabulous. Truly, in every meeting I have been here at, the Spirit has been so strong, and the talks felt as though they were directed straight at me.
I received my flight plans to Peru a couple of days ago. I will be leaving on the 17 of September at 11:00 in the morning, stopping in Atlanta first, then Miami, and then flying to Peru and arriving there at 6:15 a.m. the next day. Its funny, I didn't realize I would be so close to where Mom and Dad will be three days later. So, that is the plan.
Well, I do not have too much time left, and I have laundry waiting. I love you all very much, and wouldn't be here without everyone of you being there for me. This gospel is true, the Spirit does manifest itself unto men and women in this day. I know that this spirit is a manifestation of the Savior's love for us. I would speak some spanish, but I have too little time to think it up. May God fill all our hearts with the desire to serve Him with our whole hearts, and fill us with His love for all mankind.

P.S. Thank you Stacey for your letters, and mom for your package. I hope there are more letters on the way. :) By the way, a great way to send me letters within a couple ways is dearelder.com. It is a great way to write. Stacey Asked me to send the email to her, but as I can't do that, her address is burgess.stacey@yahoo.ca Thank, and love you all!
